“Resiliency During Uncertainty: Succeeding Despite Challenges” is the theme of the 3rd annual Annual Black Male Retention: Best Practices and Student Success Conference. Dr. Fredrick Douglass Dixon is the keynote speaker.

HFC's BMQFG opened up many doors for nursing student Vanessa Newton, who is also enrolled in the Henry Ford II Honors program.

HFC's Dr. Kalvin DaRonne Harvell will speak about the work of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, "Father of Black History Month," on March 2 (yes, the event name differs from the event date).

The BMQFG will discuss various opportunities with the Transfer Bridges to Humanities at Michigan and Henry Ford II Honors Program.

Students will have the opportunity to hear from representatives of five universities during the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) event Jan. 19.

MLK Peace Rally on January 20 begins at UM-Dearborn and ends at HFC. Senator Santana, Dr. Kalvin Harvell and VP Holly Diamond will speak.

The first Black Male and QUEENS Focus Group meeting this fall is Wednesday, Jan. 12, at noon via Zoom. All are invited.

HFC was Keirra Scott's third try at higher education. This time, she found the right path. Now, she's out to make a difference in others' lives.
