Transfer Bridges to the Humanities@Michigan
This event will be different from BMQFG’s previous Black History Month presentations, according to HFC sociology professor and BMQFG faculty advisor Dr. Kalvin DaRonne Harvell. In addition to the keynote speakers, Harvell wanted to take this time to make students aware of the opportunities available through the Transfer Bridges to the Humanities@Michigan (TB2H) program, which is a joint collaboration between HFC and U-M.
TB2H Project Manager Dr. Jesse Carr will discuss various opportunities available through TB2H and the Englehardt Social Justice Fellowship from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. The ESJF offers opportunities for community college students and organizations to work on a mutually beneficial summer project. The ESJF application deadline is Friday, March 11, at 11:59 p.m.
Henry Ford II Honors Program
HFC chair of the humanities department and English professor Dr. Adam R. Hazlett will speak about the Henry Ford II Honors Program from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.
