Why should I choose this program?
Does this describe you?
I am very interested in the healthcare field; however, I don’t want to provide direct patient care. I am very detail-oriented and like searching for facts. I also have a keen eye for finding information in reading material. I like looking up medical codes and procedures, and I feel satisfaction with obtaining all necessary information about a procedure or diagnosis, as well as obtaining maximum reimbursement for my employer. I prefer to work on a reimbursement case, while others around me are providing patient care. I would like to first obtain a certificate as a Medical Insurance Specialist. Then, I may decide to move onto an associate degree in this area.
If this sounds like you, then you are the perfect candidate for the Medical Insurance Specialist (MIS) certificate.
