Fitness and Sports Center Management

Are you excited about health and fitness, and interested in business? You can combine your interests with HFC's Fitness and Sport Center Management program, where you can gain a foundation in the theory and practice of business management and exercise science.

Interested in the program?

Why should I choose this program?

This program will teach you about the human body's systems and how they respond to exercise training, and you will gain a foundation for managing the specialized business functions of an athletic club, fitness center, health club, or sports facility. You may choose to expand your certifications through industry exams, including the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) exams.

You will be able to explore related areas such as nutrition, exercise physiology, teaching exercise, and equipment purchase and maintenance. You will also learn to use the latest equipment and techniques to measure maximal oxygen uptake, lactate threshold, body composition, strength, and flexibility.

Successful managers are leaders who motivate and guide people to efficiently and effectively use organizational resources (people, money, raw materials, and equipment) to guide their organizations to become excellent. If you like the challenge of being in charge and the idea of helping organizations and people reach their goals, management may be the career for you!
