Jennifer Markin, Ed.S.
Jennifer Markin began her higher education career providing support for conditionally admitted students participating in a summer bridge program. The commitment to access and student success fostered through that position became the foundation for the almost 20 years she has spent since then working in residence life, advising, TRIO, and student services administration.
Jennifer is excited to bring her experience to Academic Advising and Student Success at HFC, while supporting all current and future Hawks!
Jennifer received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Southeast Missouri State University, a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Mississippi, and an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky.
In her personal life she spends her time as a chef to two teenage boys, an avid reader, a destroyer of weeds, and a soaker of sunshine.
