HFC students can learn more about summer research opportunities at the Summer Research Opportunities Symposium on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the Honors Hub on the first floor of the Reuther Liberal Arts Building (Building K on the main campus). While this symposium is aimed primarily at HFC students in the STEM fields, we encourage HFC students in other fields to attend as well.

At this event, you will hear from speakers sharing tips on how to create an effective personal statement and how to revise your résumé to be research focused. You will also hear some success stories and get an overview of “a day in the life of an undergraduate researcher.” Participating university partners include:

  • The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor
  • The University of Michigan-Dearborn
  • Wayne State University
  • The University of Detroit Mercy
  • Eastern Michigan University
  • Lawrence Technological University
