Roller Hockey Club 3-peats, making it to the NCRHA National Championships

For the third consecutive year, the HFC Roller Hockey Club will advance to the National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association Division I National Championships, which will be held April 2-5 at the Fort Myers Skatium in Fort Myers, Florida.
This championship tournament includes Division 1 universities. HFC is the only community college participating.
The Hawks begin the NCRHA National Championships by taking on the University of Arizona in round robin pool play on Wednesday, April 2. They will complete pool play on Thursday, April 3, taking on Arizona State University and Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO).
“Our record will determine our seeding moving forward in the competition,” said Dr. Rick Fenwick, Jr., who has been the head coach since the team was founded in 2017.
“There are 48 teams in total, so the competition will be very tough,” said Fenwick. “Playing Lindenwood, Arizona, and ASU is quite challenging, but our team has been healthy and at full strength for the past month, so we are prepared to make some noise at the tournament. We were dealing with injuries all season and are peaking at the right time, so we are very excited with our opportunity at the National Championships! Last year, we made our first D1 Final Four and hope to make another deep run this year!”
