March Course of the Month: Motivating Employees with Recognition

Friday, March 7, is Employee Appreciation Day, which is a perfect opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of your HFC teammates! It is important to show coworkers that their contributions are valued.

This month has two course offerings: "Motivating Employees with Recognition" and “Respect at Work: Appreciation." Both are designed to highlight the importance of recognition in improving employee morale and work performance.

Workplace research conducted by Gallup and Workhuman in 2022 established an extensive connection between employee recognition and wellbeing, finding employees who receive the right amount of recognition for their work reduces burnout, improves daily emotions, boosts morale, and establishes stronger relationships with their coworkers. Recognition promotes employee wellbeing, retention, engagement, performance, and culture.

The course includes four key areas:

  1. The Mutual Benefits of Recognition
  2. Understanding Employee Motivation
  3. Making Recognition Count
  4. Four Common Barriers to Recognition

Each video lesson explores different aspects of employee recognition, from the advantages of showing appreciation to overcoming common barriers that hinder recognition efforts. This course equips leaders with practical tools to help you make recognition a more effective and personalized practice.
