Commencement is May 10. Order regalia, and volunteer to be a marshal, by March 25

The following information is for faculty and staff. Students, visit our Commencement website for full details about your Commencement ceremonies.
The 2025 HFC Commencement ceremonies will take place on Saturday, May 10, at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn. Two ceremonies will be held:
- The morning ceremony is at 10:00 a.m.
- The afternoon ceremony is at 1:30 p.m.
Graduates must attend the ceremony to which they are assigned.
Order faculty / staff commencement regalia by March 25
If you are interested in participating in the Commencement ceremony on stage, you must wear academic regalia. If you do not own your cap, gown, and/or hood:
You can order your commencement regalia online today
If you have any questions, please include them in the “Additional Information” box in the “CART” section of the order form. All replies will be sent via email or the phone number included on the order form.
We must receive your order no later than Tuesday, March 25. You will not be able to order regalia after that date. If you place an order and cannot attend the ceremony, please let us know as soon as possible by contacting (commencement@hfcc.edu). Your regalia will be shipped to the Welcome Center (Building WC on the main campus) for you to pick up.
If you plan to attend commencement and will be using your own personal regalia, please email commencement@hfcc.edu to let us know which ceremony you plan to attend, so we can account for proper stage seating.
Marshals needed
We need a minimum of eight commencement marshals (previously called faculty marshals) per ceremony.
- Four marshals will march with the students.
- Four marshals will march with the faculty.
- All marshals must arrive one hour before each ceremony begins.

If needed, a meeting will be scheduled to provide further information closer to the commencement date.
