Volunteers needed for “Good Luck on Finals”

HFC will once again host our “Good Luck on Finals” event for the students at the end of every semester.

The “Good Luck on Finals” event for the Winter 2025 semester will be held:

  • Tuesday, May 6
  • Wednesday, May 7
  • Thursday, May 8
  • Friday, May 9

This event is sponsored by Student Activities, and we need your help!

Cheering students on during finals week

“Good Luck on Finals” was created as a way to show appreciation of our students and to let them know we are cheering them on during their final exams. Tables will be reserved in buildings all over the main campus and the East Campus. Faculty and staff volunteers will hand out all kinds of swag and goodies for students, including:

  • Snacks (chips, candy, granola bars, fruit, bottled water)
  • No. 2 pencils
  • Scantrons (a highly requested item!)
  • HFC merchandise (pens, hand sanitizer, fidget spinners, keychains, and other branded items)
  • Stress relief tips
  • Good luck messages

The more departments that participate, the more impact we make, so please consider hosting a table if you can. You can choose whenever and wherever works best for your department, but it’s helpful to keep in mind when each area receives the most foot traffic and when students typically have exams.

How you can participate

Student Activities is looking for departments to host a table or volunteers to help out at a table.

  • Hosting a table: Student Activities will reserve the table for you. Your department will be responsible for decorating the table, providing the giveaways, and staffing the table. If your department would like to participate, contact HFC Student Activities Associate Kayla Collins with the date, time, location, and volunteers’ contact information.
  • Individual volunteers: Volunteer as an individual to help at a table hosted by another department.

Please share this information with others in your area. You can peruse the spreadsheet to see which times and locations are work best for you. Please sign up for a table at the link above and confirm your reservation with Collins no later than Wednesday, April 30.
