Dr. Fadia Cudry hugging her children, ready to join the annual Zaman Hope for Humanity Run Walk Picnic.

A number of members of the HFC community, including Dean Janice Gilliland, math instructor Sam Bazzi, and chemistry instructor Fadia Cudry from the School of STEM, plan to participate in the 15th annual Zaman Hope for Humanity Run Walk event at Ford Field Park, 500 Monroe Street in Dearborn. (NOTE: this is NOT Ford Field in Detroit), on Saturday, September 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Everyone is invited to join this family-friendly fundraiser and community event.

The event consists of a timed 5K run, two children's runs, a 5K walk, and concludes with a cookout in the park. Family activities include pony rides, a petting zoo, a basketball competition, a tug-of-war competition, face painting, pumpkin patch, and more.

The event is also an opportunity to raise awareness and support for programs that provide essential needs to underserved women and children throughout Southeast Michigan. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Inkster, Zaman works to facilitate change and advance the lives of marginalized women and children. [Note: HFC is not affiliated with Zaman International.]
