HFC and Rocket Companies host Women in Business networking event
Rocket Companies Senior Talent Relationship Manager Jade Ortiz will be the keynote speaker for the inaugural HFC Women in Business Networking Event on Tuesday, September 17, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L on the main campus). This event, hosted by HFC Career Services, is free and open to the public.
“Join us for an inspiring afternoon of networking, learning, and fun at the Women in Business Networking Event! This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, gain valuable insights, and expand your career horizons,” said HFC Employer Relations Coordinator Lisa Fillip.

Keynote speaker Ortiz, an alumna of Edsel Ford High School, plays a pivotal role in fostering a skilled and diverse talent pipeline for Rocket Companies. She will share her expertise and insights into the world of business networking and professional growth.
After Ortiz finishes her keynote address, there will be two interactive networking sessions led by Rocket Companies Executive Trainers Emily Weeks and Fletcher Raftery. These sessions will provide a unique opportunity to engage with industry leaders. Participants will practice their skills during both interactive networking sessions.
Following the networking sessions, Ortiz, Weeks, Raftery, and the Career Services team will host a Q&A session, focusing on issues that pertain to women and business networking, and share some concluding wisdom.

I’ll be diving into the journey of being a woman in business, exploring the highs, lows, and everything in between,” said Ortiz. “I’m also incredibly excited to be joined by my two amazing teammates, Emily Weeks and Fletcher Raftery, who will be leading dynamic workshops. Together, we’re a powerhouse team from Rocket Companies!”
Light refreshments will be served, and the event will include giveaways. We strongly encourage you to register in advance, though you are also welcome to show up on the day of the event.
