Voter Registration: a right and responsibility of citizenship

This year, the U.S. presidential election will take place on Tuesday, November 5. You will have three options for voting:

  1. Vote in-person at your precinct's polling station on November 5. Your precinct is based on where you live.
  2. Early in-person voting and will be available for approximately 9 days before the election.
  3. Absentee (mail-in or drop-off) voting begins in October.

A Voter Registration Drive will be held during Welcome Back Days to make sure you are registered to vote and that you know all your options for how, when, and where to vote.

During the November election, a new President of the United States will be elected by U.S. citizens, as will many national, state, regional, and local leaders. The results of these elections will affect your day-to-day life. Please exercise your right to vote.

Leading up to Election Day, we will provide additional in-person and virtual opportunities to register to vote and to learn about the voting process. If you are not registered to vote, don't wait! You can register today.

For questions or more information about voter registration, contact Student Activities Administrative Assistant Kayla Collins at krcollins3@hfcc.edu.

“Welcome Back Days is our biggest and most exciting event of the semester,” said HFC Director of Student Activities Cassandra Fluker. “It’s a great way for HFC students, both new and returning, to meet fellow students, learn about departments, resources, and student activities on campus, and participate in fun, exciting, and engaging activities! Please come join us during Welcome Back Days.”
