Students: U.S. Department of State careers and info session
HFC Career Services is hosting a U.S. Department of State careers and student information session in the Rosenau Rooms on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L on the main campus) on Wednesday, November 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Diplomat in Residence Ken Roy, a visiting professor at the University of Michigan Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy in Ann Arbor, will be on campus to discuss career opportunities at the U.S. Department of State with HFC students. Roy will provide information on recruiting activities within the State Department to students and professionals throughout the North Central region including Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Michigan.
An alumnus of Michigan State University, Wayne State University Law School, and the National Defense University in Washington, D.C., Roy’s diplomatic experience includes time in Belize City, Belize; Panama City, Panama; The Hague, Netherlands; Department of State Operations Center – Crisis Management Coordinator; Asuncion, Paraguay; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Foreign Policy Advisor, Air Force Special Operations Command; National Defense University; and the Department of State Board of Assessors.
