Sign up for active shooter preparedness training
HFC Campus Safety will host an active shooter preparedness training session on Wednesday, May 22, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Berry Auditorium on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L on the main campus).
Active shooter situations are unpredictable and can escalate rapidly. This training session provides guidance to the campus community, so we can be prepared in the event of a potential active shooter incident.
The training session is informational only. There will not be role play or active simulations. However, some of the training materials and videos contain important content that may be disturbing to some individuals.
“We strongly encourage you to participate in this training opportunity,” said HFC Campus Safety Associate Reginald Vaughn.
This training session is free and open to the entire HFC community – students, faculty, and staff – whether you have participated in previous training sessions or not. For staff members, we recommend that you notify your supervisor of your planned attendance.
If you plan to attend this training session, please register by contacting Campus Safety at campussafety@hfcc.edu.
