Celebrate National Transfer Student Week (and TransferPalooza!)
HFC will celebrate National Transfer Student Week Monday, October 21, through Friday, October 25.
The College decided to start the celebration early, kicking off National Transfer Student Week with the first TransferPalooza event on Oct. 17. TransferPalooza provides you the opportunity to meet with representatives from 20 local and regional four-year colleges and universities. You can explore transfer options, get personalized advice, and attend sessions designed to help you understand the transfer process. With a focus on helping you achieve your academic goals, TransferPalooza sets the stage for National Transfer Week by giving you the tools you need to succeed.
Empowering you to achieve educational goals
As a college dedicated to student success, HFC offers a variety of programs and resources designed to make the transition to four-year partner colleges and universities smooth and successful. Throughout National Transfer Student Week, you can learn more about the College’s specialized transfer programs, including:
- Learn4ward, which provides guaranteed admission and personalized transfer advising to the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Wayne State University, Eastern Michigan University, and Davenport University.
- Transfer Bridges to the Humanities, which is designed to support students transferring to the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
- Wayne State University transfer advisor Kaleigh Webber at the HFC Welcome Center
- University of Michigan Dearborn transfer advisor Stacey Olson at the HFC Welcome Center
- Eastern Michigan University transfer advisor Daniel Medrow at the HFC Welcome Center
These two programs, along with resources like Academic Advising and Transfer Resources, are part of HFC’s commitment to empowering you to achieve your educational goals.
“We want our students to know that you are not alone in the transfer process. National Transfer Student Week gives us an opportunity to highlight the resources and support available to ensure that every student can find a pathway to success through and beyond HFC,” said HFC Director of Academic Advising and Student Success Jennifer Markin.
