College Store information for the Fall 2024 semester

The College Store (Building C on the main campus) will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:

• Thursday, August 22
• Monday, August 26
• Tuesday, August 27
• Wednesday, August 28
• Thursday, August 29

This will allow you an extra hour to purchase textbooks and other supplies as the Fall 2024 semester begins (Thursday, August 22, is the first day of the Fall 2024 semester). Regular business hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the rest of the Fall 2024 semester.

Fall textbook information (if submitted) can be viewed on The College Store website. Please consider ordering online. Book information on the website is updated daily as new orders are received.

Effective Thursday, August 1: Students can begin using third party sponsorships for College Store purchases. Sponsored students should go to the Customer Service Desk in the back of the College Store.

Effective Monday, August 12: Students can begin using financial aid for College Store online purchases. Please check the Max Limit Available before selecting “Fin. Aid” as a payment method. All orders with insufficient aid funding will be canceled. If you are using financial aid in The College Store, please provide a valid HFC student ID or other valid picture ID in addition to your HFC student ID number.

Inclusive Access classes

Students taking Inclusive Access classes at HFC will have access to your digital materials on the first day of class. The digital materials are included in the registration fees and additional materials should not be necessary for most classes. Inclusive Access information is sent to your Hawkmail account 10 days prior to the start of classes for the Fall 2024 semester.

Information regarding pickup and shipping

The College Store will offer store pickup at no charge for the Fall 2024 semester. Pickup customers should wait until you receive email notification that your order(s) is ready for pickup. Orders may take 48-72 hours to process based on the volume of orders received and when the order(s) is placed, although most orders take considerably less time.

Please pick up orders in The College Store Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (regular business hours). We will need your name and order number for pickup. Online order pickup is available in Aisle 4 of the College Store (signs for the location are posted).

Pickup customers should use the north entrance to HFC and park in Parking Lot 3, which is near the College Store. Orders can also be shipped via UPS Ground. Shipping charges of $7.99 per order will be applied.

Rented textbook returns

Textbooks rented for the Summer 2024 semester are due back by Monday, August 12. Summer rental returns can be placed in the rental drop box by the Learning Success Center (LSC) (Building A), which is near the flagpole and the circle drive off Evergreen. The drop box is located under the overhang by the east entrance to the LSC.

Students: please tape a note to the book with your name and student number to ensure proper credit. The rental sticker on the back of the book must also be intact to get proper credit for the return. The following books should not be placed in the drop box:

• Books from the Eshleman Library
• Henry Ford Early College textbooks
• Surplus books

The College Store will hold its next book buyback in December.

Information Regarding College Store Financial Aid Purchases: Financial aid cannot be used on the website on Thursdays until the weekly refunds have been processed.
