HFC hosts two-day Career Expo Oct. 16-17
HFC Career Services will host 80-100 employers at the Career Expo for two days in the gymnasium of the Athletic Memorial Building (Building H on the main campus).
The Career Expo will run from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, and Thursday, October 17.
Each day will have a specific career focus
You can attend the Expo either day, or both days. We will have a specific focus each day, which will help you decide where it is best to spend your time.
Wednesday, October 16 will feature opportunities most closely relating to:
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
- Business, Entrepreneurship, and Professional Development (BEPD)
Thursday, October 17 will feature opportunities most closely relating to:
- Liberal Arts (SOLA)
- Health and Human Services (HHS)
Faculty / employer luncheons both days
There will be a faculty/employer luncheon from noon to 1:00 p.m. on both days in the gymnasium before the Career Expo begins. HFC faculty are invited to attend either day or both days.
Free professional portrait
A photographer will be present to take free professional portraits that you can use for Handshake, LinkedIn, or other uses.
Please dress professionally, and bring multiple copies of your résumé.
The Expo is open to anyone: HFC students, HFC alumni, and the public

More employers are signing up daily. Employers are hiring workers for full-time, part-time, internships, and co-ops.
“This is an excellent opportunity to network and make connections with employers. We are very excited with the large number of employers who will be at this event. The event is designed so that students, alumni, and members of the public will be able to make meaningful connections that will lead to real work opportunities now or down the road,” said Austin.

Career Services will have open office hours the week of the Career Expo in Room A-113 on the first floor of the Learning Success Center (Building A on the main campus). If you are a current HFC student or alumnus, we will review your résumé and make suggestions. No appointment needed.
