The HFC PIC Committee will host a conference called “Where Are We Now? An Assessment on Mental Health” on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom. HFC faculty members Tracie Varitek and Tazeen Ayub will serve as the hosts. Every HFC employee is welcome to attend this event.
As we are slowly coming out of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s PIC conference will explore the many impacts the pandemic has had on mental health.
Please register for this event, using your HFC email address
This conference will have three workshop options, including:
- Abraham Sculley: Where Are We Now? Impact on Students
- Dr. Kristen Lee: Where Are We Now? Impact on Faculty and Staff
- Dr. Kalvin DaRonne Harvell: Where Are We Now? Impact on Equity
Dr. Mays Imad, an assistant professor of biology at Connecticut College and an alumna of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University, will give the keynote address and the concluding remarks at the conference. Imad’s current research focuses on stress, self-awareness, advocacy, and classroom community, and how these relate to cognition, metacognition, and, ultimately, student learning and success.
You will receive an email from Rhonda DeLong with details for attending this conference.
