Students: Get your Fall books and supplies now!
The College Store (Building C on the main campus) is open for in-person and online shopping, so you can get a head start on purchasing textbooks, supplies, and other HFC merchandise for the Fall 2023 semester.
The College Store is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. These are the normal business hours. The store will have extended hours until 5:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- Thursday, Aug. 24
- Monday, Aug. 28
- Tuesday, Aug. 29
- Wednesday, Aug. 30
- Thursday, Aug. 31
Textbook information
Fall 2023 textbook information can be viewed on the College Store’s website. Textbook information on the website is updated as new orders are received.
Effective Monday, Aug. 14: You can begin using third party sponsorships. Sponsored students will be helped at the Customer Service Desk in the back of the store.
Effective Monday, Aug. 14: You can begin using financial aid for College Store purchases. You should check the maximum limit available prior to selecting financial aid as a payment method. All orders purchased with insufficient financial aid funding will be cancelled. If you are using financial aid while shopping in-person in the store, you will need to provide an HFC Student ID or other valid photo ID in addition to you HFC Student ID number.
Information regarding pickup and shipping
The College Store will offer in-store pickup at no charge for the Fall 2023 semester. Store pickup customers should wait until you receive email notification that your order is ready for pickup on campus. Orders may take up to 48-72 hours to be processed based on the high volume of orders received, although most orders take considerably less time.
Orders can be picked up in the store Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The order number and customer name are required for pickup. Online order pickup is available in Aisle 4. Signs for the location are posted in the store.
Store pickup customers should use the north entrance to the College and then park in Parking Lot No. 3 near the College Store. Orders can also be shipped via UPS Ground. Shipping charges of $7.99 per order will be applied.
Rental returns
The deadline for Summer 2023 semester rentals is Monday, Aug. 14. Summer rental returns can be placed in the rental drop box by the Learning Success Center (Building A) near the flagpole and the circle drive off Evergreen. The drop box is under the overhang by the east entrance to Building A.
You should tape a note to the book with your name and student number to ensure proper credit to your account. The rental sticker on the back of the book must also be intact to get credit for the return. Other books, such as buybacks, surplus books, or books from Henry Ford Early College or the Eshleman Library should NOT be placed in the drop box.
No Summer 2023 Book Buyback
The College Store will not be conducting a book buyback until the end of the Fall 2023 semester.
There are options available online if you want to sell summer textbooks on your own.
Information regarding financial aid purchases
Financial aid cannot be used on the College Store’s website on Thursdays until the weekly refunds have been processed.
