HFC’s Phi Theta Kappa: Alpha Xi Mu Chapter will begin weekly meetings for the Fall 2023 semester on Monday, September 11, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., in the Michael Berry Auditorium on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L) on the main campus.

Phi Theta Kappa is an international honor society for community college students. You do not have to be a member to attend the meetings -- in fact, we welcome every interested person.

The meetings, which will be held every Monday until December 11, will be in-person. You may also attend meetings via Zoom

The PTK Fall 2023 meeting schedule is as follows:

  • September 11, 18, 25
  • October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
  • November 6, 13, 20, 27
  • December 4, 11

PTK's high standards are based on community service, leadership, fellowship, and scholarship. PTK members have gone on to major leadership roles at the national and international level. All high-academic-achieving students at HFC are invited to consider membership. You do not need to be a member of the Henry Ford II Honors Program, though many Honors Program students are PTK members.

“We’re excited for the new semester. I want to welcome all members and all potential members. We have a lot of great things planned for the coming year,” said PTK president Charles Brooks.

Chardin Claybourne serves at the PTK faculty advisor.

“The Alpha Xi Mu Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa welcomes back all members to our first meeting of the semester,” said Claybourne. “Prospective members are also invited. PTK is a premier, international honor society and our chapter looks forward to continuing the momentum built from the last academic year. Our officers are excited to share their ideas and plans. Please consider joining us.”
