HFC is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our students.

Every year, millions of Americans are affected by crime. Many will need ongoing care and resources. April 23–29 is National Crime Victims Rights Week, a time to raise awareness of victims' rights and services, and stand with our families, neighbors, friends, and colleagues whose lives have been forever altered by crime. You can show your support for victims by building their trust and engaging your communities in response efforts.

The 2023 NCVRW theme is Survivor Voices: Elevate. Engage. Effect Change. This year's theme calls upon communities to amplify the voices of survivors and create environments where survivors have the confidence that they will be heard, believed, and supported.

The 2023 NCVRW Resource Guide contains a wide array of outreach tools and sample materials to help with public awareness campaigns throughout the year. The Resource Guide highlights include suggestions for raising awareness in the community, sample materials for traditional and social media, a history of the crime victims’ rights movement, and original artwork to unite this national effort.

Join Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) during NCVRW 2023 as they commit to elevating and engaging survivors to lift their voices, inform policy and practice, and thereby effect change. By engaging survivors, the responses and services to victims and survivors will be more credible, meaningful, and centered on individual needs.

Call 855–4–VICTIM (855-484-2886) or visit VictimConnect.org to learn about victims' rights and options, confidentially and compassionately.
