Meet 120+ employers at HFC’s Career Expo
Career Services will host more than 120 employers at its annual Career Expo on Thursday, October 19, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the gymnasium of the Athletic Memorial Building (Building H on the main campus).
Faculty employer connections hour
There will be a faculty/employer mixer from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the gym before the expo begins.
Free professional portraits
A photographer will take free professional portraits for attendees who want to use them for your professional portfolio. You should dress professionally and bring multiple copies of your résumé.
Advance information online
“One of the nicest things about our recruitment events this year is that students can access a lot of information about the companies and the jobs they are looking to fill before they even attend the event,” said Chad Austin, Career Services Officer. “All the info students need is available on their HFC Handshake accounts. Every current HFC student has an account! If they go to the Career Services homepage and select the ‘HFC Handshake Student Login,’ they can access this information.”
Employers are looking for team members to fill full-time and part-time positions, internships, and co-ops
A few of the many employers who will be in attendance include:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan
- Dearborn Police Department
- Dearborn Public Schools
- Henry Ford Health
- The Henry Ford
- U.S. Customs and Border Protection
- U.S. Department of State
More employers are signing up daily. Employers are hiring for:
- Full-time
- Part-time
- Internships
- Co-ops
“We are very excited to have the Career Expo back and running on campus again," said Austin. "We are happy with the number of employers we have attracted. We hope our students, alumni, and members of the public will be able to make some meaningful connections that will lead to real work opportunities.”
Free résumé review
Career Services will have open office hours the week of the Career Expo. Career Services is in Room A-113 on the first floor of the Learning Success Center (Building A on the main campus). Any current student, graduate, or member of the public can come in and get your résumé reviewed by a Career Services team member without an appointment.
The Career Expo is free of charge and open to the public. For a complete list of employers represented at the Career Expo or for questions or more information, contact Career Services at (313) 845-9618 or careers@hfcc.edu.
