Overview of Modules

Module: OnBoard

The OnBoard module in NEOED serves as a dynamic and interactive information repository for all things important to you as a valued HFC team member. This module is designed and customized to make it easier for you to locate helpful resources at the College.

Every time you login to NEOED, your Dashboard will be your default screen. Next to your Dashboard tab is My OnBoarding; simply select the tab. Or, at the top left of the webpage, locate your drop-down menu and select OnBoard. You are now ready for the experience!

Module: The Welcome Experience

New employees begin with fully automated pre-boarding and general information about the College through the Welcome Experience portal that is accessible after a new employee accepts a job offer. This portal provides information about HFC including:

“We believe that our newest team members will find the Welcome Experience particularly useful as they navigate through the orientation process of joining a new organization and starting a new role,” said Davis.

The checklist timeline lets new team members and their supervisors follow the hiring paperwork process through an interactive checklist that measures progress, alerts HR and Payroll, new hires, and supervisors of new tasks to be completed or outstanding tasks that require attention. Reminders are sent to new team members when a required task is due or important documents have not been submitted.

Module: Introduction Experience

Moving from the Welcome Experience is the Introduction Experience. New and current team members are introduced to HFC through various sections in this portal including links to:

There are sections for:

  • Our Mission, Vision, and Values
  • Strategic Plan
  • Helpful Links and Resources
  • Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • HFC Gallery
  • HFC Videos

The Introduction Experience is a one-stop HR shop!

“Our goal is to support all HFC team members through your entire employee lifecycle from your first day on the job through the day you retire from HFC,” said Davis. “We invite you to explore the many additional portals we are in the process of creating. You will find information on support services, programs, and other resources in the areas of employee benefits, compensation, compliance, employee relations, engagement, recognition, talent management, professional development, and more!”

Soon, you will be able to access portals to explore your:

  • Welcome Experience (preboarding)
  • Introduction Experience (onboarding)
  • Total Rewards Experience (benefits)
  • People and Culture Experience (who, what, and why)
  • Growth Experience (development)
  • Engagement and Belonging Experience (well-being and satisfaction)
  • ABIDE Experience (ABIDE Talent Management Strategy)
  • Farewell Experience (offboarding and preparing to leave HFC)

Module: Perform

Perform is the performance management module that allows HFC to track employee performance and provide constructive "feedforward" to assist HFC in growing a high-performing workforce. Perform fully automates annual, probationary, and promotional employee evaluations, allowing teams to identify skill gaps and areas of improvement.

Perform empowers managers and employees through improved communication, including journal entries, goal setting, and mid-point check-ins. We have built our new evaluation tool using job-specific competencies, which is a significantly more equitable way of evaluating performance. Additionally, through the reporting feature, we are able to easily analyze data and bottlenecks in the evaluation process and track the status of performance review completion across departments.

Module: Learn

Learn is the online employee training experience to cultivate growth, promote excellence, and improve retention. Our new centralized learning management system isn’t just easy to use, it is also the next level in administering organization training. Our custom training library includes a catalog of more than 1,500 courses.

Learn provides us with the ability to create and build new courses, upload existing SCORM courses and libraries, and links to external course sites. We are able to track employee progress, maintain transcripts and records, modernize processes, and remain compliant for required annual courses. The reporting feature in Learn provides quick visual indicators to allow for us to view the status of course enrollment, completion, and overdue courses.

Module: eForms

One of the most exciting modules we have launched is eForms. eForms allows us to automate HR department functions by storing and centralizing personnel files, creating electronic forms, converting existing hard copy forms, and building routing and approval workflows in a secure repository.

eForms provides an additional layer of security by restricting permissions to access and edit sensitive employee data. Need a form approved by multiple stakeholders? Instead of the constant back-and-forth through emails or hard copy ink signatures, eForms can automate the process in real-time with a few simple clicks and digital signatures. Managers and employees receive email notifications that a form awaits their approval, and employees can easily access and complete the task directly from their NEOED dashboard.

eForms will advance College processes through automation and reducing uses of paper and manual spreadsheets.

Sessions are open to all HFC employees

The NEOED sessions are free and open to all HFC employees. For an even more personalized training session, contact the HFC Talent Management Team at HFCTalent@hfcc.edu to schedule a time that works for you and your team.

Already proficient with NEOED but need to troubleshoot or have a question? Reach out to HFC HR-IS Analyst Adam Jaber. If you are an Online Hiring Center (OHC) user, contact HFC Talent Acquisition Coordinator Terri Hagen.
