Competitive Gaming Club hosts “Super Smash Bros” tournament
HFC’s Competitive Gaming Club will host its first Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament, a video game competition, on Friday, March 17, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. (registration begins at 2:00 p.m. and the tournament begins promptly at 3:00 p.m.) in the Student & Culinary Arts Center (Bldg. M) on the main campus.

Entry fee required
To participate in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament, start by paying a $15 entry fee (cash only). If you bring your own setup and monitor, you will receive a $10 discount (cash only). All participants must bring their own personal controller. This tournament is open to the public.
People who are just coming to watch the tournament will pay a $5 entry fee (cash only). Snacks and other refreshments will be available.

There will be a cash prize for those who place in the Top 3. The proceeds from this tournament will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, according to Club founder Ali Yassine, a dual enrollment student at HFC and Dearborn High School.
The Club began at the beginning of the 2022-23 academic year and has more than 50 members. Dr. Courtney Matthews serves as the faculty advisor.
