Students: get involved! Student Activities gives you options

Release Date

The HFC Student Activities office welcomes all HFC students to the Fall 2022 semester.

Add to your HFC experience by getting involved on campus and online. Join a student club, attend events, volunteer, and pursue your interests.

“We are looking forward to a great fall semester with fun in-person and virtual events,” said HFC Student Activities Associate Mandy Earl. “I’m excited about the new academic year. If you are a student, get involved! It will help you succeed. We look forward to meeting you this semester!”

Welcome Back Days

Join us for fun student activities September 19-21. The schedule is:

Monday, Sept. 19 (Constitution Day Observance)

  • Kahoot Game: 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Student Center

Tuesday, Sept. 20 (National Voter Registration Day)

  • In-person Activities with University of Michigan-Dearborn: 3:00 p.m. (location TBA)

Wednesday, Sept. 21

  • Student Clubs Fair and Student Services (in-person): 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center and outside
  • Caricaturist Artist (online): 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Gift Card Giveaway: We will randomly select two followers a month to receive a gift card, so start following us right away!

Hawks’ Nest

Reopening Tuesday, Sept. 6, the Hawks’ Nest Student Food Pantry provides supplemental food assistance to HFC students who are experiencing food insecurity. The food pantry is available to any student enrolled in at least one credit hour during the fall semester.
Students may receive food and personal care items from the pantry twice a month.

The pantry will be available by appointment only on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Contact hawksnest@hawkmail.hfcc.edu to schedule an appointment.

Voter Registration Drive

This year, local and state elections will occur on Election Day, which is Tuesday, Nov. 8.

These elections could include governor, senators, state representatives, mayors, city council members, city clerks, school board trustees, millage, etc. These elections affect your day-to-day life, so let your voice be heard!

Leading up to Election Day, we will provide in-person and virtual opportunities for students to register to vote and to educate them on the voting process. If you are not currently registered to vote, please register today. The deadline to register for this year’s elections is Monday, Oct. 24.
