HFC co-sponsors State of the Strait Conference 2022

HFC is one of 25 sponsors of the State of the Strait Conference 2022 that will be held Wednesday, May 11, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Engineering Lab Building on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn, located at 4901 Evergreen Road.

The State of the Strait is a bi-national collaboration between the United States and Canada that hosts a meeting every two years to bring together government managers, researchers, students, environmental and conservation organizations, and concerned citizens. Participants work to understand historical ecosystem conditions and assess the current ecosystem status in order to achieve a better future for the Detroit River and western Lake Erie. This year’s topic is Contaminated Sediment Remediation in the Detroit and Rouge Rivers: Legacy, Present State, and Approaches to Collaborative Financing.
