Faculty Commencement regalia orders due March 15

It has been two years since HFC held its last in-person Commencement ceremony.

We are excited for the return of this annual tradition. This year's Commencement will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

Two ceremonies will be held: The first at 10:00 a.m. and the second at 1:30 p.m. Academic programs will be designated to attend each ceremony closer to the date.

If you are interested in participating in Commencement, we ask you to wear appropriate academic regalia. If you do not own your cap, gown or hood, please use this link to order regalia

Be sure to order all items you do not already have, including:

  • Cap
  • Gown
  • Tassel
  • Hood

The website uses a “shopping cart” model, but there is no charge to you for the regalia rental. You will return the regalia at the conclusion of the ceremony.

If you have any regalia questions, please include them in the “Additional Information” box in the “cart” section of the form. All replies will be sent via email or the phone number included on the order form. You will need to include your office phone number and email address.

Order by March 15

All regalia orders must be received by Tuesday, March 15. You will not be able to order academic regalia through the College after that date. Regalia will be shipped to the College for pick-up the week of Commencement.

If you plan to attend Commencement and will be wearing your own personal regalia, please respond to commencement@hfcc.edu and let us know which ceremony you plan to attend, so we account for proper stage seating. If you place an order and cannot attend the ceremony, please let us know as soon as possible by responding to this email.

We are looking forward to the return of watching our graduates celebrate their academic achievements and hope you will join us! If changes are necessary, further communication will be posted on the HFC website.
