Not only is Dearborn High School senior Ali Yassine graduating with a high school diploma this spring, but he will also earn a national recognized credential. Then in the fall, he will continue his education at HFC.

Yassine is one of seven students in the Dearborn Public Schools studying health science at the Michael Berry Career Center in Dearborn Heights who have earned a credential. He is the only one of the seven who earned the PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician certificate.

After Yassine completes his education at HFC, he plans to transfer and finish his undergraduate education in biomedical engineering at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

The MBCC is a program available to any qualified student attending one of the three traditional public high schools in Dearborn: DHS, Fordson, or Edsel Ford. Health is one of nine specialized career areas offered at the MBCC. All the MBCC students plan to continue their health or medical studies in college and are preparing for careers in these fields. They represent the MCBB’s focus on “Education with a Purpose.”

We'll look forward to seeing you at HFC in the fall, Ali!
