Barrett Creative Writing Contest submissions due March 4

Students: get your creative juices flowing! Submissions for HFC’s annual Francis G. Barrett Creative Writing Contest and the Larry Colter Poetry Prize are due by Friday, March 4.

This contest is open to works of fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama, and is open to all students enrolled at HFC. A total of $700 will be divided among the top 5 winners.

This contest is held annually at the College to honor the memory of the English Department's first department chairperson, Frances G. Barrett. Winners will be notified by Friday, April 8 and will be honored at the Sisson Gallery on the first floor of the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center (Bldg. F) on Thursday, April 21.
