All Hawks are invited to be poll workers Nov. 8

Volunteer works at polling place in the USA election assisting voter with his registration.

The Michigan Department of State is asking the HFC community – students and employees – to help and support Michigan’s critical need for poll workers during this year’s state and national election on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

To staff elections effectively, paid workers are needed to assist voters at each polling location. Clerks typically hire and train workers 1-2 months in advance of Election Day, so now is the best time to sign up for this opportunity.

How to help

Sign up on the Michigan.gov website here!

If you want to help recruit other workers, you will find a stakeholder toolkit for our statewide, non-partisan election worker recruitment program, which is called Democracy MVP. This toolkit contains sample graphics and language for your use in promoting this opportunity, as well as a list of FAQs about working elections in Michigan.
