You are invited: Looking Back & Moving Forward BEA conference
Dear Colleagues,
One year ago this month, the Black Employee Association (BEA) was formed at HFC. This group of Black HFC employees exists to help create “a future of collaboration with HFC, to fulfill and advance the College mission of being a Welcoming College where all employees are supported, and all students are nurtured in a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and just educational environment.” I have enjoyed meeting with this group and hearing directly from their members.
This June 29, in honor of its first anniversary, the BEA will host a virtual conference titled, “Looking Back & Moving Forward.”
I am proud to support the mission of the BEA, and I want to extend an invitation to all of you on behalf of the BEA to attend this conference. There is no cost to attend.
Complete information about the conference, along with the registration form, is here.
The culture we are building at Henry Ford College relies on great teamwork that supports student and employee success. The BEA and other affinity groups are an important part of this teamwork. Congratulations to BEA President Chardin Claybourne, Vice President Brandi Jackson, and the entire Black Employee Association on your first year of building momentum toward a better community and world.
