Eshleman Library services for the Fall 2021 semester
Starting Monday, September 20, the HFC Eshleman Library (Building B) will offer on-campus services all day on Mondays and Thursdays by appointment only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. These services will continue for the remainder of the Fall 2021 semester.
Current HFC students who are on campus will be able to make a 60-minute appointment to use either a study table or a library computer.
Requirements to be on campus
Please note that all on-campus students must follow College requirements to:
- Wear a facemask that covers your mouth and nose
- Bring your green check mark after completing the daily campus health screening form. If you are sick, have been exposed to COVID, or have a temperature or symptoms, please do not come to campus.
- Bring your HFC Student ID
Food will not be permitted in the Library.
“We’re pleased to provide by-appointment use of the library space this semester in a manner that is safe and socially distanced. We know that the space we provide is an important component of students’ learning outside the classroom,” said Kate Harger, HFC Director of the Library and Academic Support Services.
Online and phone services continue
Online services such as Ask a Librarian and assistance with research and accessing Library resources will remain in effect too. Most of the library’s services are currently provided via telephone or online. The best way to get a librarian’s assistance with a research assignment is to select “Ask A Librarian”.
Please contact the library before coming to campus. For questions or more information, contact Harger at 313-845-9760 or kharger@hfcc.edu.
