The U.S. Softball Academy will host four winter softball camps at HFC in the gym of the Athletic Memorial Building (Bldg. H) on the following dates and times:

  • Week 1: Sunday, Jan. 19, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m.
  • Week 2: Sunday, Jan. 26, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m
  • Week 3: Sunday, Feb. 2, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m.
  • Week 4: Sunday, Feb. 16, from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m.

The academy is operated by Steve Brown, the head coach of HFC's softball team. With a low player-to-coach ratio, each player gets plenty of individual attention in a small group atmosphere.

The academy's spring training program provides young players a unique opportunity to improve their game. USSA camps are designed to develop skills in all facets of the game with an emphasis on teaching the proper fundamentals and techniques. Sessions are available in hitting, pitching, fielding, and catching.

Sessions for grades 1 through 12 include four weeks of instruction for as low as $99 with the Triple Play Discount. Players can save an extra $20 with the code FLYER2020.
