Two people shaking hands

This article is part of a series highlighting our Student Services offices and what they can do for you. For information about all HFC student services, please visit the Student Services.

The HFC Career Services Office (CSO) is providing its full suite of services 100 percent virtually during the pandemic. Office hours are available in real time via Zoom.

“Live Zoom office hours give students a chance to have immediate problems addressed. They know that at any time they can connect with us to talk about their career-related issues and concerns, as well as schedule a full appointment if they need time to talk through something,” said HFC Career Services Officer Chad Austin.

CSO services available to students

The Career Services Office provides a full suite of career advising services, including assistance with resumes and cover letters, job search techniques, and interview techniques -- both online and in person. The CSO can even help you determine what career path might interest you. Start as soon as you enroll at the College. There is no need to wait until you are ready to graduate.

In addition to offering career coaching and job search assistance, the CSO oversees the Cooperative Education (Co-Op) program at HFC.

On the employer side, the HFC Job Leads platform connects employers looking to hire HFC students and alumni. These connections often partner with the CSO to host virtual info sessions, workshops, and online job fairs. The CSO is hosting a full slate of events this fall, including the HFC Virtual Career Expo, its signature event.

The CSO maintains a professional clothing closet where students may select professional clothing at no charge. The professional clothing closet is currently closed but will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.

Find a wealth of job search resources, list of all upcoming events, HFC Job Leads login, zoom link, and contact information for CSO staff, all on the website.

For questions or more information, contact the CSO at careers@hfcc.edu.
