HFC supports extension of Stay Home, Stay Safe order

Release Date
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer

April 9, 2020

Today, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced an extension to her March 23 Stay Home, Stay Safe Executive order. The new Executive Order can be found here: 2020-42. The Order extends social distancing measures through April 30, 2020 to combat the spread of coronavirus. This requires that our campus continue its current status until at least April 30, 2020.

We know this was a hard decision, and it will directly affect all of us. The Henry Ford College community supports the Governor’s Stay Home, Stay Safe order, and we are grateful for her leadership in our state during this difficult time.

In the coming days, we will announce plans for summer classes and plans for employee compensation for during this crisis.
