Hawks’ Nest holds Stock the Pantry Food Drive Sept. 8-21
A s the Hawks’ Nest reopens for the Fall 2020 Semester, it is holding a Stock the Pantry Food Drive from Tuesday, Sept. 8, to Monday, Sept. 21.
Donations can be dropped off at the Hawks’ Nest – which is in the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L) on the HFC main campus – on Mondays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Due to the pandemic, Hawks’ Nest staff will not be able to offer on-campus office donation pick-up at this time. The ASCC building is locked. If you do not have access to the ASCC, call 313-317-6529 and a staff member can meet you out front in the circle drive to collect your donation during the designated days and times you can donate. Please contact the Hawks’ Nest ahead of time about dropping off your donation.
Please note: employees and students arriving on campus will need to fill out the appropriate pre-screening form, which can be found on the banner at the top of the HFC home page. For your safety, visitors are not currently permitted on campus. Thank you for your understanding.
Non-perishable items needed to re-stock the Hawks' nest:
- Cereal
- Peanut butter
- Jelly
- Oatmeal
- Healthy snacks (trail mix, granola bars)
- Fruit cups or cans
- Soup
- Chili
- Beans (all types)
- Canned ravioli
- Canned vegetables (no carrots)
- Canned tuna
- Canned chicken
- Macaroni and cheese
- Rice
- Ramen noodles
- Pasta (all types)
- Pasta sauce
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Deodorant
- Soap (bar or liquid)
All items must be new, unexpired, and unopened.
Monetary donations are also accepted. We can accept cash or check at the Hawks' Nest. You also have the option to make a monetary donation online through the HFC Foundation Office. Be sure to select the Hawks' Nest when donating.
