Free food distribution, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center

Ford Community & Performing Arts Center

In partnership with Gleaners Community Food Bank, the City of Dearborn is continuing to host free drive-through food distribution for households with children in the parking lot of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, located at 15801 Michigan Ave. in Dearborn.

All community members, including HFC students who use the Hawks Nest, the College’s food pantry, are welcome to attend and pick up food.

Food will be distributed from 9:00 a.m. to noon on the following dates:
• Tuesday, May 12
• Monday, May 18
• Tuesday, May 26
• Monday, June 1
• Tuesday, June 9
• Monday, June 15
• Tuesday, June 23

Attendees are asked to make sure their vehicle’s trunk is empty and to remain inside their vehicles at all times to practice social distancing and to minimize any potential exposure to the coronavirus. Groceries will be placed in their trunk.

Attendees without vehicles are also welcome to attend and are asked to maintain a social distance of six feet. They must be prepared to carry 20-30 pounds of food. They are welcome to bring a cart, if able.
