Welcome back, students! Fall semester is here
Dear Henry Ford College Students,
Welcome to the start of Fall semester -- always an exciting time at the College, and a great time for you to set the stage for your success in school and in life. Classes started August 22. You may register for classes or change your schedule until August 28.
As you navigate campus, look for people wearing HFC shirts and Welcome shirts -- these people will help you find your way around our campus, and they'll respond to any other questions you might have.
HFC is a friendly place and a Welcoming College, so make yourself at home here!
Don't forget about all of our student services that are dedicated to your success. And mark your calendar to attend our free Welcome Back Days, Sept. 16-19, to get even more involved in all the ways HFC can help you create a better future for yourself.
Tips for Success
Here are some tips to make the most of your time as a Henry Ford Hawk.
First, get connected on campus. Meet other students. Join a club. Attend campus events. Go see your faculty members during their office hours.
And reach out to our campus staff. We are here for one reason: to help you succeed. That means academic help, advising, and life issues.
We want you to graduate and be ready for a great future.
Second, show up. Come to class on time. Do your homework. There are no shortcuts. You are investing in your own future, so put in the time. You are worth it.
Third, have some fun. We have dozens of student clubs, art, theater, dance, music, sports, and more. Make friends. Campus life has something for everybody.
Education is one of the best things you can ever do for yourself. It’s not just classes and books and computers and tests. A Henry Ford College education is about you, taking charge of your future, with our support.
This is a place where you can thrive. We believe you have what it takes. We will challenge you. We will bring out the best in you, if you give it all you have.
So let’s get started. Exciting times are ahead. I look forward to meeting you. I often walk around our campuses. If you see me, please say hello. I may even have a chocolate for you, if you know the passcode: “Proud to be HFC!”
We are happy you are here! If there's anything else you need, contact us at EnrollmentServices@hfcc.edu, or reach out to me at President@hfcc.edu.
