The next Rockefeller? HFC alumnus has grand goals in real estate
HFC alumnus Kyle Grauer is proud of the fact that he earned his real estate license before turning 21.
Grauer, of Southgate, is a realtor for Keller Williams (KW) Realty, Inc. in Birmingham. His service areas include Birmingham, Farmington Hills, Royal Oak, Southgate, Allen Park, Grosse Ile, and Grosse Pointe. He joined KW in late 2018.
“I got into real estate because it’s my business. I strive to ensure my clients obtain full value for their estate while having a seamless and pleasurable experience. Customer service is 24/7. You have to know how to sell," he said. "You have to know how to deal with big numbers and not get excited about it. You treat the big numbers with the same respect you do the small numbers.”
Understanding the big picture is key, he says. “Real estate controls the stock market, including stocks, bonds, or securities. Understanding the real estate market helps you understand any other market out there. Money is how human beings rate the growth of productivity. You have to be willing to invest and to lose in order to gain in the future.”
Not willing to just make his career in real estate, Grauer also launched a business venture called Young Money, a subscription-based service that assists millennials when getting into stocks, bonds, and securities.
A direct pipeline to HFC
A 2016 alumnus of St. Frances Cabrini High School in Allen Park, Grauer earned associate degree from HFC in 2018 in business administration. He is currently taking business, psychology, and statistics courses at HFC to satisfy the requirements of the College’s articulation agreement with the University of Michigan-Dearborn, where he’ll attend this fall to major in business/finance.
“Students should be able learn more from their professors than just what happens in class,” he said. “The teachers at HFC, I found, were very helpful if you are willing to reach out and not be afraid to take the next step.”
Grauer’s family has attended HFC for three generations. His late grandfather, Dean Grauer; his father, Jeff Grauer; and his older brother, Justin Grauer; all graduated from HFC. His younger sister, Madison Grauer, a 2018 Cabrini alumna, is currently attending HFC.
“There’s a direct pipeline to HFC from the Grauer family,” he said with a laugh.
The next Rockefeller
An entrepreneur at heart, Grauer aspires to be the next John D. Rockefeller. He says he would like to own his own real estate empire one day, because he wants to control the destiny of his company.
“People have told me, ‘You’re 21. Enjoy being 21,’” said Grauer. “I’ll enjoy being 21 when I’m 41 and have made my first million. I’ll be able to do what I want when I’m 41 – only with more money and more toys.”
