Congrats to Hawks men's basketball on a great season!

Congratulations to the HFC Hawks basketball team for a great 23-9 season! The season ended in the District 10 Championship game against St. Clair County Community College, where the Hawks lost 77-88.

The season included multiple highlights, including a second-consecutive MCCAA Eastern Conference Championship, the MCCAA state championship, and advancing to the District 10 Championship game.

Henry Ford College is proud of our Hawks for their amazing effort this season, and for representing Hawks student athletes and the College in the classroom and on the court.

Road to the finals

The Hawks beat Macomb Community College, 80-75, on March 8 to advance to the District 10 Championship game on March 9.

Leon Ayers poured in 29 points to lead all scorers, and Luster Johnson added 16 in the Hawks' victory.

Previous victories

The HFC Hawks defeated Western Conference Champion Grand Rapids Community College, 77-73, March 2 to secure the MCCAA state championship.

The game was tied 43-43 at the half, but the Hawks took their home court advantage to a 4-point victory in the second.

Leon Ayers led the Hawks with 22 points. Edwin Bailey and Luster Johnson contributed 14 and 12, respectively. The Hawks' record now stands at 22-8 on the season.

On February 27, the Hawks men’s basketball team beat 13th ranked St. Clair County CC to win the MCCAA Eastern Conference -- our second straight year!
