Celebrate Kwanzaa with the Black Male & QUEENS Focus Group Dec. 4

The Black Male & QUEENS Focus Group will hold its Kwanzaa celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 4, from noon to 2:30 p.m. in Rm. M-119 in the Student & Culinary Arts Center (Bldg. M). Dr. Kalvin DaRonne Harvell, an HFC sociology professor and Focus Group advisor, will give a lecture on Kawaida philosophy and the Nguzo Saba.

Kwanzaa is a week-long, annual celebration held in the United States and other nations to honor African heritage in African-American culture. It is observed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, culminating in gift-giving and a feast.
