The September 20, 2019 Climate Forum at Henry Ford College drew more than 400 people to a series of events in recognition of the urgent issues relating to global climate change. The multi-event forum concluded with a tree planting on campus.
Biology faculty member Linda Brandt, another event organizer, said, "The future of the planet, the very future of humans, depends on us taking real action. If it requires people sacrificing, then we need to do it. Just like people sacrificed in World War II. The world defeated Hitler. We can do this, too, if we put our minds to it."
