Livonia Kiwanis Early Riser Food Packaging
The Livonia Kiwanis needs volunteers to help package food Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. to Churchill High School, located at 8900 N. Newburg Rd. in Livonia. No registration required. Please email kiwanisoflivonia@gmail.com.

All Saints Neighborhood Center Urban Neighborhood Initiative will be hosting a Land Stewardship Fair Saturday, March 2, which is an indoor event that will have resources for residents including free recycling bins, an opportunity to construct rain barrels, and information and training about becoming land stewards. We are looking for volunteers from 9:30 a.m. to noon to help with the event, mainly packing seeds for residents to use to start gardens. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Anna Herrmann at aherrmann@unidetroit.org.

Join the Dearborn Street Team
Downtown Dearborn is forming a street team to pass out promotional material (posters, cards) advertising Downtown Dearborn's events to local businesses. Currently, the street team is needed to promote the Summer Music Concert Series from now until August. Promo packs will be made at the Dearborn Area Chamber of Commerce. From there, street team members will be assigned to pass them out at various businesses throughout the city of Dearborn. For more information, email csdecius@ci.dearborn.mi.us.

Zamaan International
Zamaan International, an non-profit humanitarian organization headquartered in Inkster, has numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year. To volunteer, contact Abigail DeMars at 313-551-3994.

Mobile Groceries
Volunteers are needed to take and process orders at 14 sites each week at multiple locations from Monday through Thursday. This is mostly a sitting job. To register and for more information, go to http://myneighborhoodmobilegrocery.gcfb.volunteerhub.com.

Dearborn
Help remove invasive plants. Stewardship Saturday’s take place each month at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. This activity involves moderate physical activity along the off trail natural habitat areas. Wear suitable work clothes, including heavy-duty boots or shoes. Contact Rick Simek at 313-583-6371.

Detroit area
WSUSOM Drives
Volunteer with Be the Match (bethematch.org). Be the Match is a bone marrow drive that identifies prospective donors. You will have the opportunity to greet attendees, hand out information, and complete a variety of additional tasks. Bone marrow drives are scheduled throughout the Detroit area (indoors and outside). Comfortable dress is required and you should plan for at least three hours of activity. Email Collen Bailey at cbailey@nmdp.org for a list of volunteer opportunities and a schedule of events.

Taylor
The Taylor Veterans Museum is seeking volunteers to serve as greeters. The museum is located in Taylor City Hall, 23555 Goddard, Taylor, MI 48180. The museum is open from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Volunteer schedule: 10:00 am to 1:00 pm or 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Call 734-374-2798.
