Reminder: print shop is closed to major projects until mid-August

Release Date
Interior view of print shop with presses and machines

The Graphics Center print shop, on the ground floor of the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center, will be short-staffed and will not be able to print and bind major projects from mid-June through the week of August 13.

Printing of smaller projects will continue, but will take longer than usual during this period.

What is a major project?

  1. Textbooks
  2. Projects that need to be bound (stapled, tape-bound, glued, etc.)
  3. Projects that require folding
  4. Multi-part projects
  5. Large-volume printing (more than 2,000 single pages)

How to order projects during the suspension period

  1. During the suspension period, we WILL continue to print smaller, single-page projects and projects that do not require folding or special attention. If you have simple flyers or similar projects, you may continue to send them to the Graphics Center as you normally would. Please allow 1 to 2 extra days for delivery.
  2. Design work will continue as usual during this period.
  3. If you request printing or production of major projects, we will notify you that your project has been placed in a project queue. Major projects will be addressed in late August and September in the order they were received.

NOTE: when the print shop returns to full production in mid-August, project timelines cannot be guaranteed.

We will do our best to meet campus needs prior to the start of the Fall semester, but we will only have 10 days to attend to all backlogged requests.
