Nearly 40 student-athletes at HFC demonstrated they are just as competitive in the classroom as they are in sports. Their GPAs were either 3.0 or higher (in some cases, much higher) as they made the Hawks Academic Team for the Fall 2017 Semester.
On Jan. 9, HFC Athletic Director Rochelle Taylor and her coaching staff recognized 37 student-athletes from the HFC Baseball, Softball, Men’s Basketball, Wrestling, Golf, and Volleyball teams with Fall 2017 Hawks Academic Team recognition.
“Our student-athletes as a whole did very well academically this fall,” said Taylor. “The average GPA for our student-athletes was 2.70. The Academic Team members took it a step further with an average GPA of 3.45. They excel at balancing their academic and athletic loads and they continue to present HFC in the best possible light.”
Please join us in congratulating all members of the HFC Academic Team!
