Men's basketball has only one home game remaining: Monday, Feb. 26. See the nationally-ranked Hawks in action!

The Henry Ford College (HFC) Men’s Basketball Team is ranked 16th nationally in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Basketball rankings, after reaching a high point of #9 two weeks ago. The Hawks have been in the Top 20 for six straight weeks!

The Hawks have an overall record of 21-5 and are 12-2 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) East Conference. Currently, they are undefeated at home with an 10-0 record.

This season marks Chris Shepard’s first season as head coach. Prior to coming to HFC, he was the asst. coach for the Macomb Community College (MCC) Men’s Basketball Team for three seasons.

“It’s been a great experience,” said Shepard. “(HFC Athletic Director) Rochelle Taylor has been very supportive of the basketball program and our student athletes. We’ve gotten new jerseys this year and have been able to take some overnight trips. We’ve had success on the basketball court and in the classroom; six of our athletes were named to the Hawks Academic Team last semester. It’s a pleasure to be coaching at HFC.”

Congratulations to the players and coaching staff.

Be sure to come out and watch the Hawks play! There is only one home game remaining.
