Fall-to-Fall Retention Rates
First-Time, Full and Part-Time Students
The IPEDS Retention Rate is the percentage of students first enrolled in a given fall semester who also enrolled in the fall semester of the next year. IPEDS, or the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System, rules indicate that HFC should report the retention rate of the group of students who are bachelor's degree seeking and who are enrolled for the first time. Because first year students don't declare a bachelor's program, there are no data available for retention rates.
