Two HFC pre-engineering students remote control RoboSoccer drones to play soccer. RoboSoccer is the theme of this semester's HFC Engineering Club Competition. Sign up by April 1 to participate in the competition on April 25.

Applications for the Winter 2024 semester’s HFC Engineering Club Competition are due by Monday, April 1, by 5:00 p.m. The competition will be held Thursday, April 25, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the John McDonald Student & Culinary Services Center (Building M on the main campus).

This year’s theme is RoboSoccer. Teams of 2-3 students will design, equip, wire, and program a RoboSoccer drone.

During the competition, we will put 20 balls in the middle of the field. Each pair of RoboSoccer drones will engage in a battle to gather as many balls as possible and bring them to their end zone. RoboSoccer drones must defend their end zone from oncoming thefts while striving to accumulate the highest number of balls within the 5-minute round. At the end of each round, the RoboSoccer drone with the greatest number of balls wins.

Take advantage of prep sessions to gear up for the competition on April 25

Competition prep sessions will be held in Room MT-115 of the M-TEC Building (on the East Campus, 3601 Schaefer Rd. in Dearborn) from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.:
